I consider myself a technologist, meaning I leverage the latest technology where ever possible in my daily life. I am always connected online via my laptop, blackberry or home PC – In fact of the time I am awake I am “online” probably 90% of the time. However, today I came to the realization that even though I spend a good amount of time reading blogs, articles and news I still have all of the same magazines arriving at more door every month (or week). Wouldn’t you think that with all the time I spend online magazines would become obsolete? Nope.
Looking at the list of magazines I subscribe to there is a good mix of finance, technology, news and general interest. Why not save some money and just cancel at least some of the subscriptions right? I mean I am sure I can read most of the articles online somewhere. However, I then came to the realization that no matter how much of a “technology fan” I am, I still enjoy getting and reading magazines. Whether in the john, on the train, on the couch or anywhere else, magazines will always serve their purpose in my life and they aren’t going anywhere…in fact there are a couple more I have been meaning to subscribe to.
Here is a run down of the magazines I currently subscribe to and read on a regular basis:
Fortune
Mens Health
Wired
ESPN
INC
Entrepreneur
Fast company
Forbes
Time
Internet retailer
Search marketing standard
OMMA
Revenue
