For the past 8 months we have been trying to sell our townhouse in one of the worst economic climates ever. We didn’t have to sell, we wanted to, for the simple reason that the 2 bedroom place we bought 6 years ago is now way too small for our family of 5 – with 3 kids under 3 you can understand our situation. We put our house on the market for a competitive price considering the area and the upgrades we made. Well after 4+ months of constantly cleaning and leaving so that Realtors can show our place we got an offer…the offer, which basically meant we broke even, was not what we wanted but this is a buyers market – so we jumped at it. After signing all of the paper work and getting things going…including packing…it turns out the buyers weren’t able to get their mortgage and backed out. F!
Once that lovely call ended and for 30 minutes or so of just being defeated we talked to our Realtor who contacted another couple who had interest in our place…and they agreed to buy. So keep your figners crossed that this goes through and we can actually have some room for all of our kids to play!
