Old Spice’s Social Media campaign is pure genius

Unless you have been living in a ditch, under a bridge..in the middle of nowhere…with no internet…I am sure you have heard of the viral sensation that is Old Spice replying to people who posted questions on various Social Channels via YouTube.

So why was this campaign pure genius? 3 reasons:

1) It leveraged Youtube, Facebook and Twitter to start and develop the conversation.

2) Old Spice replied to not just average people but also stars and businesses – which continued the cycle of spreading the videos virally.

3) They ended it at the pinnacle of its social buzz – they didn’t go on until we all got bored of it, they left us wanting more.
